Carole Emberton Publishes Washington Post Op-Ed

Associate Professor Carole Emberton has published another op-ed in the Washington Post’s ongoing series, Made by History. Her latest piece focuses on President Millard Fillmore, who is celebrated each January by Buffalonians in a ceremony at Forest Lawn cemetery. Emberton reminds readers of Fillmore’s role in the implementation of the Fugitive Slave Act.

This piece makes four Washington Post op-eds for the department. Victoria Wolcott and David Herzberg also published essays in the series last year, and Carole Emberton published an additional essay in November.
