History Facts-“Voting Rights and Civil Rights: Lessons from a Century of Resistance”

March 15 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

History Facts:

In contemporary America history is mobilized daily to make arguments across the political spectrum. But these invocations of the historical past are sometimes less than accurate. In an effort to better inform the UB community, the History Department is launching a series of talks on a variety of historical topics. As Harry S. Truman once said, “There is nothing new in the world except the history you do not know.” To better understand your present, join us to better understand your past.
